Crusty Lamb Cutlets
I learnt this recipe during my cooking classes at high school - the curry and mayonnaise breadcrumbing, topped with cheese, complements the flavour of lamb beautifully.
Ingredients
- 4 lamb cutlets (or chops if cutlets are too expensive)
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 - t tspn curry powder
- 1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 4 slices gouda cheese (tasty cheese is just as tasty)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from cutlets.
- Brush cutlets with combined mayonnaise and curry powder.
- Press cutlets into combined breadcrumbs and sesame seeds.
- Place in a single layer in a baking dish. Bake at 190 degrees C for 25 minutes.
- Turn cutlets, top with cheese and bake for a further 10 minutes.
